DOLE Bicol, ready for new job seekers

LEGAZPI CITY, Mar 14 (PIA) – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Bicol is all set for the bulk of new job seekers as graduation days approaches.

Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Bicol director Nathaniel Lacambra said this has been a yearly trend as job seekers flock over DOLE offices, at least a day or two after graduation.

Lacambra said DOLE Bicol is equipped and more than ready for this coming trend this March through job fairs slated region wide.

“As early as now we wanted to inform Bicolanos, especially the graduating class that we have scheduled several job fairs. This is to help them find a job quickly,” Lacambra said.

DOLE Bicol holds three major job fairs annually. These include the Magayon Jobs Fair sponsored by the Provincial Public Employment Services Office (PESO) of Albay on the last week of April, Labor Day Mega Jobs Fair held simultaneously at SM Naga City and Legazpi City on May 1 and the Independence Day Jobs Fair at the Plaza Trese Martires, Naga City sponsored by Metro Naga PESO on June 12.

DOLE Bicol assistant regional director Atty. Ma. Karina Perida-Trayvilla said job fair is still the most economical, practical and easiest way of landing a job.

“In one day you can apply to at least 5-10 companies joining the Job Fair. Compare against the hassle of going from one company to another just to apply. We advice graduating students to calendar our Job Fairs and take advantage of these for it is the fastest way to find jobs that are best suited to their qualifications and abilities,”she added.

For this year, DOLE Bicol will be holding job fairs aside from the three major job fairs in cooperation with the different municipal and school-based PESOs.

With these municipal job fairs, graduates will have wider options and broader chance of landing their desired job.

These Jobs Fair schedule are as follows:
