LEGAZPI CITY, Feb 25 (PIA) – Bicolanos aspiring to be a soldier or officer of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) finally has the chance to make their dream come true as the PAF sets the examination for candidate soldiers and officers in the region on March 7, 2015 at the Bicol University College of Engineering in this city.
PAF Civil Military Operation Officer 1Lt Richard Michale Dilag said the PAF is currently conducting a recruitment campaign in the region through the Tactical Operations Group 5 in connection with the PAF candidate soldier and officer examinations.
Interested male or female applicants must be natural born citizen of the republic of the Philippines, single, never been married and has no legal obligation to support a child or children, with a height of at least 152.4 (5’0”) physically and mentally fit for training and with good moral character.
Aspiring PAF officer candidates should be a baccalaureate degree holder and 21-29 years of age upon admission while candidate soldiers should have at least 72 college units and 18-23 years old at the time of enlistment.
During the exam, applicants must bring fully accomplished application form, photocopy of transcript of records and birth certificate and two pieces 2x2 picture with white background.
Applicants are advised to bring the original copies of the said requirements for further verification.
They are required to be in white t-shirt, maong pants and rubber shoes.
Dilag likewise advised all applicants to bring one black and blue ballpen and pencil with eraser and to be at the examination area before 7:00 AM.
While on training, candidate soldiers receive P14, 295 as allowance and P20,494 after graduation. He will be designated as airman.
Officer candidate on the other hand receives P30, 455 as allowance while on training as P2LT and P35, 785 as 2Lt.
