VIRAC, Catanduanes, Nov. 13, (PIA) - Governor Araceli B. Wong is asking for donations in cash and in kind for the victims of typhoon ‘Yolanda’ in Visayas.
According to the official, this is the best time to help our fellow countrymen especially those badly hit by the storm which battered the region last week.
Wong also pledged to give P500, 000.00 personal cash donation for the food and medical needs of the victims.
She added that the provincial government of Catanduanes will also spearhead a campaign anytime soon to raise funds in cash or in kind as a support to the victims of the typhoon.
Meanwhile, the provincial government of Catanduanes thru Gov. Wong issued an Executive Order to all public and private agencies in the province to place the Philippine Flag in half mast.
According to the EO, it is a sign of solidarity with the whole nation mourning the massive loss of lives due to the impact of super typhoon ‘Yolanda.’ (MAL/EAB-PIA5/Catanduanes)
