Skyjet to resume flight to Catanduanes in October

VIRAC, Catanduanes, Sept. 26 (PIA) -- The Skyjet Airlines will resume its flights to Catanduanes on October 15, 2013,  In time with the celebration of the Catandungan Festival 2013.

Aileen P. Munoz, Skyjet operation officer in Catanduanes, said the airline will have thrice per week flights on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The airline will depart Manila Terminal 4 at 6:30 am, arriving at Virac at 7:10 am, and will leave this island’s capital town at 7:40 am, arriving at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 8:30 am.

Skyjet Airlines is operated by Magnum Airways, a 94-seater, four-engine British Aerospace 146-200 and can load up to 3,000 kilograms of cargo in its spacious hold.      

Skyjet Airlines commenced its maiden flight to Catanduanes on April 16 this year, however, due to management issues, it stopped its operation last July.

Catanduanes provincial tourism officer Carmel B. Garcia said that the resumption of Skyjet’s flight will help the island’s tourism especially during this time of the year where the province will be celebrating the its grandest festival. (MAL/EAB-PIA5/Catanduanes)
