Brigada Eskwela kicks off in Catanduanes

VIRAC, Catanduanes, May 31 (PIA)—The Department of Education’s Division Office here launched Brigada Eskwela yesterday, May 30, to ensure smooth opening of classes on June 13.

Socorro V. dela Rosa, schools division superintendent, urged all stakeholders—parents, teachers, students and barangay officials—to take part in the Brigada Eskwela which will run until June 4 in 234 elementary schools and 42 secondary schools.

Dela Rosa said the goal of Brigada is to see to it that on June 13, classrooms are busy with the lessons because the schools have already been prepared.

Backed by other government agencies, the annual Brigada Eskwela is an activity where all sectors are contributing to make sure that the schools are clean, safe, disaster-prepared and conducive to learning when the students troop back to schools.
