CamSur announces Search for Youth Officials 2015

PILI, Camarines Sur, March 25 (PIA) --- In cognizance of the significant role of the youth in nation-building, the provincial government of Camarines Sur will launch this May the 1st Camarines Sur Youth Month simultaneously opening the doors for the new set of Camarines Sur Youth Officials.

The positions are open to all students, out-of-school youths and working youths age 15 to 24 years old that possess exemplary characteristics of a good leader. Applicants must be a member of any organization to qualify. As future holders of the leadership reign, applicants should have not been subjected to any disciplinary action, criminal record or similar offenses.

At stake for the aspiring officials under the Youth Executive Department are Youth Governor, Youth Provincial Treasurer, Youth Provincial Auditor, Youth Provincial General Services Officer and Youth Provincial Program Managers.

The latter position would be further delegated to five (5) Program Managers who will head platforms on Linang Kabataan (Culture and the Arts), Sports and Recreation, Health, Education and Training and Environment and Disaster Management.

There will also be a Youth Legislative Department to be composed of Youth Vice Governor, Youth Provincial Secretary, ten (10) Youth Provincial Board Members , Sub- Sectoral Representatives (Ex-officio members), in school youth, working youth, out-of-school youth, youth with special needs and youth women.

This endeavor is also pursuant to the Camarines Sur Youth Code which states that the Executive Committee shall conduct and manage Youth Education and Leadership Training Week and pursue activities which will promote culture and the arts and the love for the environment.  Activities showcasing various activities related to health like health caravans and sports fest shall likewise be implemented.

It will be recalled that The Youth Code was launched at the Capitol Convention Center on February 27 this year to raise the awareness of the youth regarding their vital role in shaping the country’s future.

Emman Seguenza Cleodoro of the Camarines Sur El Verde Youth for Climate Change stated that the Provincial Government believes that in giving them an avenue to develop their capabilities and talents , they are also empowering them as partners in development.

Cleodoro is encouraging interested partakers to join the Search for Camarines Sur Youth Officials.

Applicants should submit the following: letter addressed to Camarines Sur Governor Migz Villafuerte, completed application form (Form 1), certificate of good moral character issued by the school for in-school youth and barangay captain for other applicants, residence certificate from the Punong Barangay, photocopy of Birth Certificate, list of leadership involvements, list of seminars, trainings and other activities spearheaded, if any, and attachments of the said involvements.

Application must be personally submitted on April 4, 2015 from 8:00am to 5:00pm at the Convention Center, Capitol Complex, Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur for evaluation and screening.
