DAET, Camarines Norte, Jan. 23 (PIA) — The municipal government has reactivated the annual search for 10 exemplary women in the town that will highlight Women’s Month in March.
Mayor Tito S. Sarion said the Outstanding Women in Daet are Daeteños who have proven their ability to lead, inspire and enable others, commitment in the organization, dedication and sustainability of advocacy, remarkable accomplishment that has major impacts towards a gender fair society, and remarkable accomplishment that has major impacts to Daeteño.
Sarion said the honorees will be chosen from various professions, namely, judicial service, protective and security services, professional services, academe and education services, volunteerism, social and community services, philanthropic, culture and arts, math, science and technology, entrepreneurship; non-government organization and civic organization, media public information and journalism, government service and sports, and those with disability.
Honoring women in Daet focuses the spotlight on Daeteños whose economic, social, cultural and humanitarian contributions to their communities are unique and significant, he added.
He said the awardees will be honored at a ceremony set for March in Daet.
Nomination forms can be obtained at the Daet Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office.
Entries should be submitted not later than Jan. 30, Friday. PIA Camarines Norte
