Daet Lions Club donates container van for PNP Sub-Station 3

DAET, Camarines Norte, March 14 (PIA) – The Lions Club of Daet has donated a container van to house the Police Sub-Station 3 at the Central Terminal, Diversion Road during in a groundbreaking held here recently seen to aid maintaining peace and order situation in this town's commercial center.

Daet Mayor Tito Sarion said that several establishments will soon rise in the town's Central Terminal, including hotel, gasoline station, government office and other business industry.

P/Supt. Paul Abay, chief of police of Daet, acknowledged the donation of the Lions Club and ensure that the police force will address the peace and order in the area.

He said that the establishment of the new police sub-station will augment the police program “Sandigan” on crime prevention or the presence of police in the populous areas and he also assured the safety of the people of Daet.

Dr. Leda San Luiz, State Auditor IV of COA/District Governor of Lions Club on the other hand said that this was their second time donating the construction of a sub-station, next to PNP Sub-Station I in the downtown of Daet.

She assured that they will support other projects for Daet in the future especially in pursuing the economic development of the town.

Earlier, a Market Day was launched March 8 at the side of the Central Terminal in order to decongest the traffic at the downtown of Daet.

The market day will be held every Saturday and Sunday in the said area wherein the wholesalers and ambulant vendors are encouraged to sell their agricultural products during the said days. (MAL/RBM-PIA5/CamNorte)
