VIRAC, Catanduanes, Sept. 25 (PIA)- The Provincial Government of Catanduanes recently launched the province-wide Search for “2013 Natatanging Kawani ng Catandungan” to promote a high standard of public service as well as to motivate and inspire officials and employees of the provincial government to uphold the highest standards of ethics.
The search shall be open to all employees regardless of the nature of employment. The categorization which was set by the Ad Hoc Committee for activity are: Head of Office Category; Permanent or Regular Employee Category; and the Casual or Job Order Employee Category.
Nominations shall be accepted from September 20-30, 2013 through drop boxes at the Provincial Capitol Lobby and at the municipal offices of the eleven (11) towns.
Ad Hoc or ‘Search Committee’ is composed by Governor Araceli B. Wong as the chairman; Vice Governor Jose J. Teves, Jr. as the co-chairman; Representatuves from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and Civil Service Commission (CSC) Provincial Office as members; and the Secretariat are Angeline Corro, Ramil Soliveres, Ma. Theresa P. Mendoza and Ma. Zarina Ll. Avila.
According to Wong, it is only just and proper to give recognition to those committed and dedicated employees. She also said that this shall also encourage other employees to perform well and to offer excellent and selfless public service.
The awarding ceremonies will be held on October, 2013 during the culmination activity of the Catandungan Festival 2013. (MAL/EAB-PIA5/Catanduanes)
