By Edna A. Bagadiong

VIRAC, Catanduanes, June 24 (PIA) -- The Catanduanes State Colleges (CSC) administration officially welcomed the 6,272 tertiary students of the College on June 15 through the General Orientation Program for Freshmen, Transferees, and Continuing Students.

A holy mass preceded the annual orientation program. The students were familiarized with the officials, faculty members and non-teaching personnel of CSC.

Dr. Minerva I. Morales, CSC president, exhorted the students to make their stay at CSC to be “very fruitful.” “I am eager to see you all take your initial steps to greater achievements. I expect that your stay here will be a glorious fulfillment of your parents’ dreams. I hope, too, that your acquisition of knowledge and the enrichment of your values will be your strong armor in fighting life’s many challenges, and ultimately, be your gateway to achieving a more meaningful and productive life,” she said.

In the afternoon, the ‘by college’ orientation about academic rules and regulations, institutional services, and co-curricular information was conducted. The guided campus tour for first years and transferees capped the day-long familiarization.
