By Sally A. Atento

LEGAZPI CITY, Aug 12 (PIA) -- Twenty-five Korean students from the graduate school of Dongguk University in South Korea visited the Bicol University (BU) in this city last month.

School officials led by BU president Dr Fay Lea Patria M. Lauraya welcomed the visitors headed by Professor Kim Heung Hoi, dean of Dongguk University College of Social Sciences; the visit, said Lauraya, aims to familiarize the Koreans with the local institution and the community it belongs to, particularly the province of Albay

Lauraya introduced and updated the visitors on the programs and initiatives of the university as a higher and advanced learning institution.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) in the region represented by Police Senior Superintendent Arnold L. Albis and the provincial government of Albay represented by Mac Pavia of the Provincial Planning and Development were also invited to brief the visitors on the developments and further prospects for investment in the province.

Both universities are expected to eventually tie up for academic programs and projects that will benefit both the province of Albay and the Bicol Region. (SAA/PIA5, Albay)
