SORSOGON CITY, Feb. 16 (PIA) – New training program slots await residents of different municipalities in the province of Sorsogon under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) through Bottom-Up-Budgeting (BuB) for fiscal year 2016.
TESDA Sorsogon senior specialist Ric Detecio said the agency, as one of the participating entitiesin carrying out projects under BuB, continues its pursuit of providing quality programs, trainings and social development projects to address poverty and help communities by providing employment opportunities.
Detecio said that this year, new projects and trainings are to be launched under the different qualifications offered by the agency and a budget has already been approved for the different municipalities in the province including Sta. Magdalena, Juban, Pilar, Irosin,Gubat, Casiguran and Bulusan for the year 2016.
This is exclusive in the qualifications under the sector existing in TESDA menu of program for 2016 such as automotive, electronics, food processing and beverage, garments, and textile, agriculture and fishery, metal and engineering, construction, tourism (hotel and restaurant) and health, social and other community development service.
More so, TESDA Sorsogon announced that the training programs are open for interested applicants from the aforesaid municipalities in the province of Sorsogon with the following slots and budget:

The same narrated that since the start of BuB in 2012, a lot of community members have already benefitted from the previous BuB programs. Most of these beneficiaries are already engaged into self or wage employment.
