VIRAC, Catanduanes, Aug. 17 (PIA)- Philippine National Police (PNP) Catanduanes Police Provincial Office marked its 113th Police Service Anniversary through a short program and awarding ceremony held on August 15, 2014 at Camp Francisco Camacho.
This year’s celebration was anchored on the theme: “Pulisya Kaagapay ang Mamamayan para sa Patuloy na Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran.”
In his message, Rep. Cesar V. Sarmiento, guest of honor and speaker of the event expressed gratitude and congratulated Catanduanes Provincial Police for continually ensuring the safety and protection of every Filipinos particularly the Catandunganons.
He also said that as the province’s representative in Congress, he is committed in working and cooperating with PNP to ensure peace and development of Catanduanes.
The solon also expressed his support to the leadership of PNP Provincial Director, Police Senior Superintendent Adelio Benjamin Castillo.
Awarding of certificates of recognition, appreciation and achievement were also given to PInsp Johnny Ray DG. Isic, Best PCO; SPO1 Raymond G. Vidal, Best Senior PNCO; PO3 Joseph T. Teope, Best Junior PNCO; PO1 Albert M. Catacutan; Best in the Enforcement of Motorcycle Helmet Act; Purita Zuniga, Best NUP; Donnie Vic G. Tabirara and Janelyn V. Rima, Media Achievement Award;Brgy. Tanod Salvador Isidro Tabuzo, Recognition Award; Virac MPS, Best Municipal Police Station and Best in Campaign on Special Laws on Anti-Illegal Drugs & Illegal Gambling; Baras MPS, Best in Campaign on Special Laws on Anti-Illegal Fishing; Catanduanes PPSC; Best in Campaign on Special Laws on Anti-Illegal Logging; and Panganiban MPS; Best in Accounting of Most Wanted Persons.
In an interview, PD Castillo expressed his gratitude to the various sectors of the community and their stakeholders for trusting and cooperating with PNP.
According to him, PNP has been successful in carrying its mandate through the years since 1901 because of the help of every Filipino.
