DSWD Bicol opens 1,315 job slots for scaled-up KALAHI-CIDDSS program

LEGAZPI CITY, Mar. 11 (PIA) – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has since been accepting applicants to some 1,315 job vacancies in preparation for the implementation of the National Community-Driven Development Program (NCDDP) on the second quarter of this year.

NCDDP is the scaled-up implementation of the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS), one of the core poverty reduction programs of the DSWD.

DSWD Bicol information officer Jesseshan Marbella said the program is currently in need of 92 area coordinators, 148 deputy area coordinators, 148 municipal financial analysts and 927 community facilitators.

Applicants for area coordinators, with salary grade (SG) 18 or P31, 351.00, must be a graduate of any four year course relevant to social development with five years of relevant and progressive work experience, of which three years should be in a supervisory or semi-managerial capacity and the other three years in development assistance projects.

Deputy area coordinators, with SG 17 or P29, 028.00, should be a Civil Engineering graduate, preferably a licensed civil engineer with five years relevant experience in rural community-based infrastructure development and three years of which in foreign assisted development projects.

Business courses graduates, particularly Accountancy, are preferred for Municipal Financial Analyst positions. With P21, 436.00 salary compensation, said position requires one year relevant work experience and computer literacy.

Meanwhile, community facilitators are open to graduates of any four year course relevant to social development. With SG 13 or P21, 436.00, the position requires two years of relevant, progressive work experience in development assistance projects and at least four hours of relevant training experience.

Marbella said interested job seekers can personally submit their comprehensive resume with 2×2 pictures and brief job description of positions previously handled, application letter addressed to the director and photocopy of the transcript of records to DSWD in Buraguis, Legazpi City.

Deadline of submission is on or before Saturday, March 15, 2014.

The program staff under NCDDP shall be hired by DSWD based on Contract of Service (COS) or Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).

The COS or MOA refers to the agreement entered into by and between the DSWD and the party being hired or the worker.

Eligible candidates will be pre-evaluated through paper screening and review.

Qualified applicants, added Marbella, will receive a notification for the next round of the recruitment process including interview and written examination.(MAL/SAA-PIA5/Albay)
