LEGAZPI CITY, Jan 7 (PIA) – The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) has issued as of 5:00 a.m. today a gale warning over the eastern seaboards of Southern Luzon and Visayas including the Bicol region.
Pagasa said strong to gale force winds ranging from 52-63 kph or 28-34 knots associated with the surge of northeast monsoon is expected to affect Camarines provinces, Catanduanes and eastern coasts of Albay and Sorsogon.
The eastern coasts of Quezon, Polillo island, Samar and Leyte will also experience the same wind force.
Affected areas will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.
Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger vessels are alerted against big waves.
Sea condition will be rough to very rough with wave heights reaching 3.4 – 4.5 meters.
