VIRAC, Catanduanes, Sept. 24 (PIA) -The Pension Retirement and Benefit Unit of the Philippine National Police (PNP) regional office in Bicol has since last week conducted a mobile validation of inventory of police retirees in Catanduanes to facilitate their access to program and services due them.
Catanduanes police provincial director Police S/Supt. Eduardo Chavez said that the measure was implemented following the approval of a resolution in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan proposed by provincial board member Lorenzo Templonuevo, Jr. providing for the conduct of a mobile validation in the island.
Chavez said that the resolution paved way for the conduct of a regular inventory and validation of retirees in the province which eases their burden in travelling to mainland Bicol especially those aged and sick.
PNP retirees who availed of the mobile validation activity expressed much appreciation and grateful to the initiatives that somehow manifested the government's concerns for police retirees much as the activity saves the beneficiary time and money. (MAL/EAB-PIA5/Catanduanes)
