VIRAC, Catanduanes, July 8 (PIA) -- The celebration of the Police Community Relations (PCR) month kicked-off on July 1 at Camp Francisco Camacho with the theme “Serbisyong Makatotohanan at Matatag na Ugnayan ng Pambansang Pulisya at Mamamayan Tungo sa Tuwid na Daan.”
The celebration aims to strengthen police and community partnership for a safe and peaceful community said Police Senior Superintendent Eduardo Chavez, Philippine National Police (PNP) director.
In this connection, PNP will conduct Information Education Campaign in various barangays and towns of the provinces.
This, according to Chavez, will promote public awareness on the significance of police-community relations which will make law enforcing more effective.
A tree planting activity will also be held on the last week of the month to be participated by police personnel and other government agencies as well as non-government organizations.
Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 764, PCR is being celebrated every July each year.(MAL/EAB/PIA5, Catanduanes)
