VIRAC, Catanduanes, July 11 (PIA) -- Catanduanes State University (CSU) will be hosting the National Service Training Program (NSTP) Forum for the provinces of Albay and Catanduanes on July 24.
NSTP refers to the program aimed at enhancing civic consciousness and defense preparedness of the youth by developing their ethics of service and patriotism while undergoing training.
It has three program components: the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS), the Literacy Training Service (LTS), and the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), especially designed to enhance the youth’s active contribution to the general welfare.
The forum, spearheaded by the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office 5, will be held in different provinces/city in the Bicol Region from July to August to tackle the importance of NSTP particularly in molding the youth through its numerous community services.
Expected participants to this forum are the presidents/school heads of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and directors of NSTP.
A minimal amount of P500 will be charged to cover food and training materials. Travel and accommodation and other incidental expenses of the participants will be charged against their own local funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing procedures.
