CSC opens application for Meat Inspection and Safety examination

By Sally A. Atento

LEGAZPI CITY, July 2 (PIA) – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) regional office is now accepting applicants for the 2013 Meat Inspection and Safety Examination (MISE) on August 11 this year. Deadline of application is on July 12, 2013.

The exam is open to all who want to join the meat inspection service.

Cecilia R. Nieto, CSC Bicol regional director, said the MISE aims to establish a register of eligible for certification and appointment to the second and and first level positions in the meat inspection industry and other functionally related services provided that they meet the qualifications and other requirements of said positions.

Applicants for the MISE must be at least 18 years of age and have not been granted any second level eligibility for positions under the meat inspection service.

Applicants are also required to present a scholastic record or official transcript of record issued and authenticated by the registrar or authorized official of the school concerned.

“The applicant/s must have completed at least 72 units leading to a bachelor’s degree,” Nieto added.

However, Nieto said CSC regional offices may no longer accept applications before the deadline if the target number of applicants has already been reached.

The examination will be conducted at the CSC testing centers in Quezon and Cagayan de Oro.

Examination fee is five hundred pesos. (MAL/SAA-PIA5/Albay)
