Naga city opens Business One Stop Shop

By Analiza S. Macatangay

NAGA CITY, Jan. 7 (PIA) -- The city government here led another round of Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) at the Naga City People’s Hall starting on the first working calendar of the year.

Mayor John Bongat of this city reiterated his intention to make Naga City a business-friendly city by putting more innovations to encourage investors to put their money’s worth in any business endeavor.

BOSS aims to encourage more businessmen to either renew their respective businesses or start a new one by making the process less tedious, faster and cheaper.

The city government set up desks for the City Engineers Office, City Planning and Development Office, City Treasurer’s Office, City Health Office and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) manned with personnel to provide necessary services to the clients to hasten the process of their application.

To make the process easier and more systematic, Naga City’s website offers a downloadable checklist of requirements, both for new and renewal of applications. Application forms for business permits for 2012 can also be accessed in the website.

Local businessmen lauded this scheme, saying that in just a matter of minutes, they were already lining up in the cashier, done with their documents and ready for the payment of their business dues.

This year, the city government here has added a queuing system. A digital system was also adapted in scheduling the number of clients that they serve.

Aside from the one-stop registration, BOSS also offers application or renewal of business permit, which includes securing a zone clearance, a building inspection clearance and a sanitation clearance, all for securing business permits.

BOSS also accepts applications on retiring a business license, securing certificates of site zoning classification, zoning clearances for building permit, building inspection clearances for business permits, building related permits and occupancy permits.

BOSS is open from Mondays to Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (MAL/LSM-PIA5/Camarines Sur)
