NAGA CITY, August 10 (PIA) --- In an effort to sustain the momentum of big economic gain from last year’s scaling up of Bicol Business Week, the Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) has announced the upcoming 2nd Bicol Business Month (BBM) slated from November 7-30, this year.
MNCCI president Gilbert Albero announced during a press conference over the weekend that on its second year Bicol Business Month 2016 promises another breakthroughs that will help push the Bicol region’s level of economic dynamism with bright prospects under the new administration of President Rodrigo R. Duterte.
Albero believes that business is really one of the key growth indicators or drivers of any economy, thus called on the support of the media to the annual BBM that will bring anew local economic growth noit only in this city bul also in the Bicol region.
“In every step toward progress that we take, it is everybody’s tasks to be part of it. We, who comprised the chamber, not only take the lead as contribution of the private sector but also bring everybody in the growth that we are looking forward not only in Naga but also in the Bicol region,” Albero expounded.
Under the perky theme “Onward Powerhouse Bicolandia”, MNCCI hopes to sustain the promotion not just of Bicol businesses but also foster development and unity amongst the entrepreneurs.
Mayor John G. Bongat of this city, who has been very supportive of the endeavors of MNCCI, stated that BBM is one of the best things that happened to Naga City and Bicol because it re-awakened the good image of local businesses here and unifies the various sector towards a common goal.
“If there is one thing that binds or unites the Bicolanos aside from the Peῆafrancia Festival, it is the Bicol Business Month because this gives all businessmen across the region the opportunity to shine thru the Halyao Awards and be recognized, whether you are big or small. This is one big influence and a great testimomy that we are giving credit and importance to business,” Bongat said.
As in the past, this year’s BBM will feature trade fairs and exhibits, business seminars, and fora, with food and entertainment, and a sprinkling of social cum charitable events in between.
