DOLE reminds establishments, workplaces to implement new wage increase in Camarines Norte

DAET, Camarines Norte, Feb. 12 (PIA) – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) provincial office here has reminded owners of establishments to implement new wage order which took effect since December 25 last year.

This is in line with the new Wage Order No. RBV 17 of the National Wage Productivity Commission of DOLE.

Based from the said wage order, the salary was increased from P260.00 to P265.00 per day to workers working in establishments or non-agriculture which have 10 employees or more.

Among these establishments are department store, grocery store, hardware, restaurants, bakery, construction firm, gasoline station and among others.

Those working in agricultural, cottage or handicrafts or establishments with less than 10 employees, salaries shall be P248.00 per day from the previous P236.00.

DOLE Provincial Director Jane Rolda said that they have already distributed copies of the new wage order to the establishments and Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of the local government units for implementation to their locality.

She also urged employees to visit their office if they have complaint against their employer and if they don’t receive proper wage and other benefits which are due for them.
