LEGAZPI CITY, Feb. 22 (PIA) -- The Civil Service Commission (CSC) Bicol regional office has reminded all government officials and employees to file their Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) for 2015 on or before April 30, 2016.
The filing of SALN is pursuant to Republic Act No. 6713 otherwise known as the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.
SALN is a declaration of assets (i.e. land, vehicles, etc.) and liabilities (i.e. loans, debts, etc.), including business and financial interests of an official or employee, his or her spouse, and his or her unmarried children under 18 years old still living in their parents’ households.
CSC Bicol has advised state workers to use the SALN Form, revised as of 2015 pursuant to CSC Resolution No. 1500088, promulgated on January 23, 2015 which requires filers to include the exact location of their real properties.
The SALN Form is downloadable from the CSC website: csc.gov.ph.
Government officials and employees may refer to CSC Memorandum Circular No. 3, s. 2015 for the complete list of repository agencies for SALNs.
CSC Bicol reiterated that failure of an official or employee to submit SALN is a violation of Section 8 of R.A. No.6713 which is punishable by suspension of one (1) month and one (1) day to six (6) months for the first offense, and dismissal from the service for the second offense. (MAL-PIA5/Albay)
