VIRAC, Catanduanes, Jan. 21 (PIA) -- The Catanduanes State University (CSU) has been recently accorded the status of Center of Development (COD) in Business Administration by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
By virtue of CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 38, s. 2015 signed by Chairperson Patricia B. Licuanan on December 23, the CSU along with Ateneo De Naga University in the region and thirteen (13) others in the country shall hold the COD designation until December 31, 2018 unless sooner revoked.
Through the distinction, CHED recognizes that the CSU had earned a strong reputation in the field of business administration through the criteria set in the CMO No.10, s. 2007, which include firm linkage with reputable organizations, unceasing commitment to excellence through continuous innovations; and visible influence in the industry and in the community in the form of high-impact research and extension activities and alumni involvement in related fields.
“The challenge of continuously improving in the areas of instruction, research, extension and production is endless,” remarks President Minerva I. Morales, “and the elevation of the status of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program to COD is a genuine manifest of the untiring drive of the faculty and staff of the College of Business and Accountancy to bring the program towards global standards.”
“The certification is an assurance to our benefactors and clientele of our desire to give them the quality service that they deserve,” the president continued.
