LEGAZPI CITY, Aug. 26 (PIA) – Two Negosyo Centers in Albay will be launched tomorrow, August 27, at the porovincial office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Albay and Social Entrepreneurship Development Center (SEDCen) in LandCo Business Park, both in this city.
DTI Bicol regional director Jocelyn Blanco said Negosyo Centers will cater all micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and would-be entrepreneurs in the entire province.
"MSMEs will now enjoy access to financing, business advisory services, capability building, access to market, and other support services,' she said.
The establishment of the center in Albay is aligned with the The “Go Negosyo Act” which provides for the establishment of Negosyo Centers in provinces, cities, and municipalities in the country.
Negosyo Centers aim to bring government services closer to the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). It will boost the development of MSMEs, providing a unified and simplified business registration process, thus helping ease of doing business and fast-track government processes in putting up a business in the province.
Sen. Bam Aquino, author of Republic Act (RA) 10644 or the Go Negosyo Act is expected to grace the event.
Albay Gov. Joey Salceda, Legazpi City Mayor Noel E. Rosal, the DTI-Bicol Management Team, the officers and members of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development (SMED) Council, and other stakeholders are also attending the launching ceremonies.
Small Business (SB) Corporation, the financing arm of the department will also award checks to some loan grantees during the ceremony.
Blessing of Negosyo Center at the DTI Albay will be at 11:00 in the morning, which will be followed by the launching of the Negosyo Center at the SEDCen. (MAL-PIA5/Albay)
