LEGAZPI CITY, Aug 13 (PIA) – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) regional office here still accepts applications for the 372 field workers needed for the expansion of Kapit Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services or KALAHI-CIDSS program until August 15.
DSWD Bicol director Arnel B. Garcia said the program, now knows as KALAHI CIDSS National Community-Driven Development Project (NCDDP), will start in September this year.
“KALAHI CIDSS NCDDP will commence next month and we are making our best effort to complete the recruitment process for this program by the end of August,” Garcia said.
Applicants must submit their comprehensive resume with 2x2 picture and brief description of previously handled positions, photocopy of transcript of record and application letter addressed to Dir. Arnel B. Garcia at the DSWD Field office V, Magnolia St., PBN Buraguis, Legazpi City.
From the 372 field workers, 48 willl be designated area coordinators, 92 civil engineers or deputy area coordinators, 70 municipal financial analysts and 162 community facilitators.
Applicants for area coordinators, with salary grade (SG) 18 or P31, 351.00, must be a graduate of any four year course relevant to social development and with five years of relevant, progressive work experience of which three years should be in a supervisory or semi-managerial capacity or development assistance projects.
Deputy area coordinators, with SG 17 or P29, 028.00, must be a graduate of civil engineering course and preferably a licensed civil engineer and with five years relevant experience in rural or community-based infrastructure development of which three years are in foreign assisted development projects.
Business graduates preferably Accountancy graduates with at least one year relevant work experience can apply as municipal financial analysts with SG 13 or P21, 436.00.
Meanwhile community facilitators must be a graduate of any four year course relevant to social development and with two years of relevant and progressive work experience in development assistance projects. Qualified applicants will receive P21, 436.00 salary or SG 13.
All workers will be hired under contract of service (COS) or memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the DSWD.
The agency had previously announced the vacancy last March to pool and pre-evaluates eligible candidates through paper screening.
DSWD targets to hire a total of 1,271 field workers by the end of the quarter.
