VIRAC, Catanduanes, Feb. 25, (PIA) - The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has extended the deadline of filing of applications for the Career Service Examination from February 20, 2014 to February 27, 2014.
According Dir. Maria Guia DV. Garcia of the CSC Catanduanes Field Office, the extended application period covers both the Professional and Sub-Professional examinations.
She said that as of today, 603 individuals from the province have already filed their application for the written exams.
She likewise encourage those who want to take the examination to file their application before the deadline to avoid rushing.
The Civil Service Examination is held 2-3 times a year for aspiring government employees in the Philippines.
Applicants must be Filipino citizens, at least 18 years old at the time of filing of application, regardless of educational attainment, and have not taken the same level of examination in less than three months.
An individual may take the exam regardless of the number of times he or she failed. The only condition is that the same level of examination should be taken once in every three months.
Application requirements are as follows: Duly accomplished Application Form (CS Form 100, Revised Nov. 2012 downloadable from the CSC website); Four (4) pieces of identical I.D. pictures; original and photocopy of a valid I.D.; and Examination fee of Php500.
