VIRAC, Catanduanes, Sept. 13 (PIA)- Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Provincial Office will launch the SME Roving Academy (SRA) in four key towns of the province on September and October, 2013.
According to Heginio A. Baldano, DTI OIC-Provincial Director, the activity is a nationwide program that seeks to provide business information and services to existing MSMEs in the areas of skills & technology, marketing & promotion, business registration and permits.
It has the objective of empowering a total of 200 micro, small and medium entrepreneurs/enterprises from the targeted municipalities of Virac, San Andres, Pandan and Viga through knowledge sharing of the various government assistances in the business development particularly access to market, appropriate technology, and access to financing.
The initial roll-out of the roving academy will be held on the following dates: September 27, (San Andres); October 10, (Viga); Oct. 17, (Pandan); and Oct. 22, (Virac).
SRA is one of the flagship programs of the agency conceptualized to be a continuous learning program for the development of micro, small and medium enterprises to become competitive in the domestic and global markets. (MAL/EAB-PIA5/Catanduanes) roving academy
