VIRAC, Catanduanes, July 10 (PIA) -- Catanduanes State University (CSU) made it to the top anew with two of its graduates landing on the ninth place in the June 2013 Nurse Licensure Examination.
Exam's ninth placers Dianne Karla Lopez Avila (85 percent) and Abegail Clavo Villaluna (85 percent) both belong to the 68-strong BSN Batch SY 2012-2013 of Catanduanes State University.
Dianne Karla is from Libod, Pandan, Catanduanes while Abegail hails from Poblacion, Bagamanoc, Catanduanes.
They triplicated the feat of Jann Marvin Posada who also placed ninth in the July 2011 Nurse Licensure Examination. Marvin is also from Pandan, Catanduanes.
In 2009, Kristine A. Ramos who is from Viga placed tenth in NLE while another fellow Viganon, Roel Evangelista placed seventh in 1997.
Oscar Chancoco, then a medical doctor in Virac, placed 15th in 1990.
It was Rebecca A. Sarmiento who blazed the trail of CSU Nurse Licensure Examination topnotchers when she placed seventh in 1979.
To date, the CSU Deparment of Midwifery has also produced 14 board topnotchers. (CSU/MAL/EAB/PIA5)
