Catanduanes producers generate P3M sales in regional fair

VIRAC, Catanduanes, Oct 22 (PIA) -- Fifteen producers from Catanduanes generated a total sales of P3,034,000 during the Orgullo kan Bikol (OKB) “Gayon Bikol” Regional Trade Fair held on October 4-7 at SM Megamall.
According to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Provincial Director Ireneo B. Panti, aside from cash sales, the figure includes booked orders and those still under negotiation with buyers.
The local exhibitors were: Sudsea Product Co. Ltd. (fashion jewelry and accessories); Nizacch Crafts (quilted bags and throw pillows); Fiberart Handcraft Enterprises (wall décor and picture frames); Selinrail Int’l Trading (abaca bacbac furniture and baskets); Chamber of Furniture Industries of Catanduanes (rattan and wooden furniture); Pandan Women Weavers Association (caragumoy bags); Calolbon Handicraft Makers Association (abaca rugs and carpets).
There were also the Nilda Traqueña Furniture & Handicrafts (handmade paper bags); Belen’s Pinahamis na Pili Atbp. (assorted pilinut delicacies); Nelia’s Food Products (instant salabat); Terestian Craft (lamps, scrapbooks and wall décor); Impling’s Special Delicacies (latik and laing); DTI-CARP clients (rattan byproducts, abaca bacbac bags and caragumoy bags); and, RUMEPP clients (abaca bacbac byproducts and assorted pilinut delicacies).
Meanwhile, participating producers were thankful to government officials and other individuals who provided financial assistance as means of support to the entire team. (MAL/EAB-PIA5, Catanduanes)
