The inmates affix their signature of commitment during the ceremonial signing of tarpaulin with the celebration of 17th National Crime Prevention Week held at Legazpi City Jail Compound, Bogtong Legazpi City today (Sept. 6, 2011). The commitment reads: We the residents of Legazpi City Jail do hereby embrace the cause of the community in promoting peace and order working towards a common goal in crime prevention. We will assure absolute change during our stay here in this institution. We were once held captives by our wrong deeds and we are looking forward of becoming a useful and law-abiding citizen once we go out of this facility.
Surely with the help of our family, relatives, stakeholders and the Jail officers that are with us everyday of their lives specially with the reformatory activities that they have, will bring the path to lead us to change. (Alex Cal/PIA)
