2011 Pataramisan Sagkud Padarakulaan -- With the objective of saving the endangered gumihan and baligang fruit trees which are endemic to Bicol, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources here and the Energy Development Corporation-Bacon-Manito (BacMan) launched a contest for the largest and sweetest baligang and gumihan in the whole region. The contest also aspires to address environmental and health issues such as deforestation, climate change and malnutrition and altogether revive the interest of Bicolanos to preserve, protect and propagate the said fruits.
