Albay provincial government acquires new weather communications equipment

Director Cedric Daep of the Albay Public Safety and Emergency Management Office (APSEMO) inspects some of the weather communications equipment during the exhibit highlighting the recent launching at the Albay Freedom Park in Legazpi City of the National Disaster Consciousness Month. Albay province is the first local government unit in the country to acquire the high-tech equipment through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with support from the University Corporation of Atmospheric Research, a non-profit organization supporting science missions of the U.S. government.
